BAHCO Professional Ergonomic Pruner
We first heard about BAHCO pruners from a respondent to our online survey who’d worked on a landscaping crew that switched to BAHCO and was glad they did. The PX is a high-quality professional pruner with great cutting power, a truly ergonomic design that reduces strain and pain, replaceable parts, and a choice of three handle sizes and three cutting heads, allowing for a customized fit between you, your needs and your pruner.
We stock the PX-S2 pruner, which is a right-handed pruner with small handles and a medium cutting head (listed as having a ¾” cutting capacity). But if your hands are larger – or you’re left-handed – or you need a larger or smaller cutting head, we’ll be happy to special-order the pruner or cutting head that best matches your needs. (Delivery in these cases may take a few additional days).

Cutting head sizes and the diameter branches they are listed as cutting are:
- Small – ⅝” - Highly recommended for anyone who suffers from aches and pains in their hand or arm.
- Medium – ¾” - Recommended for users who want to avoid developing aches and pains.
- Large – 1¼” - Not recommended for users who already suffer from pain in the hand or arm. Better to use a lopper or pruning saw when cutting large diameters.
3 out of 3 testers said they would recommend BAHCO professional pruners to other women.

BAHCO Professional Ergonomic Pruner Reviews
“I really like the size and shape – nestles very naturally in my hand. It also feels balanced. Handled hardwood cuts very capably and also soft, herbaceous material. I used it for several days, 6 hours at a time with no problems, blisters or pain. . . Great tool for working women.” -- Susan D., landscaper, PA
“The BAHCO PX-S2 fit my hand well and could accomplish tasks equivalent to my Felco #6. Fit and work capacity are excellent.” –- Layne T., horticulturalist, VT
“I would never have tried BAHCOs were it not for my friend,
because of the amazing reputation Felcos enjoy. And while
Felco makes a solid product, I’d really urge you to be open
to trying other brands and types of tools, because they aren’t
necessarily the best choice for everyone . . . BAHCOs are
my pruner of choice by a wide margin because of how easily
and comfortably they make clean, smooth, cuts.” –- Genevieve
