The Dakura safety glass with anti-fog copper lens blocks 99.9% of dangerous UVA/UVB/UVC rays, helps keep your vision clear by preventing fogging, and complies with tough ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards for protecting against high velocity and high mass impact. These glasses wrap around the face to offer complete protection without the visual distortion found in some less expensive glasses, and frames are made from a non-slip material that increases its grip when it becomes moist or warm. That means perspiration won’t make these glasses slip down your nose or off your face.

Copper lenses filter out blue light or haze that can cause tired, sore or strained eyes, and are specifically engineered as a high contrast driving lens to give you greater depth perception. Good in full or partial sunlight or hazy conditions. Anti-fog lens helps to keep your vision clear by allowing moisture to roll off lenses and repelling fog and steam.

Liz tested these under tough conditions – vigorously sanding shelving for our inventory on a sunny day while wearing a dust mask. Edge eyewear complies with tough American National Standards Institute standards. ANSI is a private, non-profit organization that administers and coordinates the U.S. voluntary standardization and conformity assessment system. ANSI creates the standards that the U.S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration upholds and enforces. All Edge Eyewear glasses are compliant with ANSI Z87.1+ 2003 standards and meet U.S. Military Eyewear Ballistic Impact Resistance Requirements – MIL-PRF-31013 clause3.5.1.1, MIL-V-43511 clause 3.5.10.

These are unisex, one-size-fits-all glasses, yet we found the frames to offer an acceptable fit in terms of both comfort and functionality. Everyone’s experience will be a little different based on bone structure etc. , but in general we think Edge has done a great job creating glasses that will conform to fit the vast majority of users.

A note for those interested in the origin of names: Each frame style is named for a mountain; Dakura takes its name from a high peak in Nepal that’s been climbed only once or twice.
