Dakura Polarized, Smoke Lens
The Dakura safety glass with polarized smoke lens blocks 99.9% of dangerous UVA/UVB/UVC rays, offers exceptional visual clarity, and complies with tough ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standards for protecting against high velocity and high mass impact. These glasses wrap around the face to offer complete protection without the visual distortion found in some less expensive glasses, and frames are made from a non-slip material that increases its grip when it becomes moist or warm. That means perspiration won’t make these glasses slip down your nose or off your face.
Smoke lenses are considered the perfect all-around tint for standard shading in full or partial sunlight. Polarization eliminates glare and reflections that can obscure your vision.
Polarized lens
Polarized lenses feature a special filtering layer that blocks out reflected light from below and glare from above. By allowing in only direct light, this lens maximizes your ability to see what you want and need to see, while eliminating glare and reflections that obscure your vision. These lenses protect more than your vision; the better you can see, the safer you can be! Edge Eyewear is the first company to offer a polarized lens in safety glasses.
Edge Safety Eyewear
Edge eyewear complies with tough American National Standards Institute standards. ANSI is a private, non-profit organization that administers and coordinates the U.S. voluntary standardization and conformity assessment system. ANSI creates the standards that the U.S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration upholds and enforces. All Edge Eyewear glasses are compliant with ANSI Z87.1+ 2003 standards and meet U.S. Military Eyewear Ballistic Impact Resistance Requirements – MIL-PRF-31013 clause3.5.1.1, MIL-V-43511 clause 3.5.10.
These are unisex, one-size-fits-all glasses, yet we found the frames to offer an acceptable fit in terms of both comfort and functionality. Everyone’s experience will be a little different based on bone structure etc. , but in general we think Edge has done a great job creating glasses that will conform to fit the vast majority of users.
A note for those interested in the origin of names: Each frame style is named for a mountain; Dakura takes its name from a high peak in Nepal that’s been climbed only once or twice.
