Hori-hori means “dig dig,” and that’s what you can do with this multi-purpose stainless steel soil knife. It’s great for weeding, planting, dividing perennials and even cutting sod. One side is beveled for shoveling and the other side is serrated for sawing. We like it for cutting through small to medium-sized roots when planting under evergreens, and it’s become a favorite weeder for flower beds and mulched areas. Synthetic sheath included for safety and convenience.

Weight: 9.3 oz.
Overall length: 12”

GT Hori-Hori Stainless Steel Soil Knife Reviews

“I really like that the hori-hori is so sturdy and that it’s so easy to cut down through the roots of plants that I’m dividing. I could really control where I was cutting – deep or shallow. I’m very happy with it!” – Linda B., gardener, Pennsylvania

“ . . . if you get one of these japanese soil knives, well, you'll be glad you did. http://greenherontools.com/products_cutting_tools.htm#soil No, I have no affiliation with them, but I am picky about tools.” – comment found on hand gardening tools forum, posted May 11, 2010
