Four Elements is a family-owned business in central Wisconsin. All Four Elements products are produced from organic herbs grown on the family farm -- 130 acres of prairies and woodland -- and contain only natural ingredients such as Shea butter and beeswax. We found the products as good as any on the market and a lot healthier, and we respect the company’s business practices. Herbs are hand-harvested and blended in small batches with the help of local women whose schedules revolve around their commitments to children, family and community. Four Elements also gives back by supporting organizations such as United Plant Savers, The Nature Conservancy and The Baraboo Range Preservation Association.
Badger is a family-run, family-friendly business located on the banks of the Ashuelot River in rural Gilsum, New Hampshire, USA. Bill, Katie and daughters Mia, Emily and Rebecca started the business back in 1995, in the kitchen of their home. This is another company that shares our philosophies and culture.
Dirty Knees Soap Co. is a small family-run business based in Fosston, MN. As founder Heidi Danos explains on the company's Facebook page: "Dirty knees, dirty elbows, dirty feet... we've tackled it all. As a mother to twins (not to mention my lovely husband and loyal, albeit often muddy dog) I'm always cleaning something. Dirty Knees Soap is my eco-conscious, healthy, and whimsical answer to this daily problem." Some of the things we love about Dirty Knees: minimalist packaging (box made of recycled paper & printed with soy ink); great handcrafted soaps made without the use of palm oil, a bad-actor cause of widespread deforestation & loss of wildlife habitat in many tropical regions of the world; a social conscience, one manifestation of which is a partnership with My Stuff Bags Foundation, which addresses the needs of children rescued from abuse, neglect & other volatile situations; and -- did we mention this before? -- great soaps!
